A horrifying incident has taken place in Indiana, USA. A 48-year-old woman named Jennifer Lee Wilson has been convicted of killing her 10-year-old son, Dakota Levi Stevens.
The incident occurred when the boy had run away from home. Jennifer found him at a neighbor’s house and brought him back. However, Dakota started acting out again, and in an attempt to restrain him, both of them fell to the ground.
Jennifer, who weighed 340 pounds, sat on her son’s abdomen for nearly five minutes. Even when he stopped moving, she assumed he was pretending. Eventually, realizing something was wrong, she attempted CPR and called 911. Unfortunately, by the time he reached the hospital, Dakota had passed away.
The post-mortem report confirmed that the boy died of suffocation, ruling it as a homicide. As a result, the court sentenced Jennifer to six years in prison.
This tragic case is deeply upsetting. Children should be guided with patience and understanding, not violence. What Jennifer did was an irreversible mistake, one that can never be justified.
